Neiema

A project that engages a personal interaction of sound & visual into a personal melody followed by the artist world

Background
Neiema (hebrew language) - Melody, voice tone. Implicit characterisation. This project was created to get an insight look to the world of the artist and to explore how sound can reflect a story with variety of interaction by different people. This installation is presenting a connection of visual graphics that transform into sound with the touch of the audience through many kinds of pattern prints. Those pattern were created with the use of a microscope lense to produce this unique detailed graphics. This kind of technique is representing transparent look inside the most private world of the artist. The action of touching allows more exposed, sensitive and personal connection to the content of the project. Every person is creating different kind of Neiema (melody) that changes according to the way of interactive with those graphics.

Installation

The visuals are samples taken from different parts of the body using ink and scans throw a microscope lans to give a deep inside look into patterns and structure of the skin. In order to create the most organic natural experience for interacting with the poster I used screen printing technique. This technique giving a meaning for every little dot of the print and therefor giving more attention to the sense of feeling and touching the patterns. When touching the poster - abstract sound of organs will appear and change according to the interaction of the audience. This project taking interaction to a different point of view- deeper and poetic. This communication is not followed by any specific pattern of visualization/sound/behavior/language, it’s relying on senses and creating an individual experience.
